Happy "freakin" Valentines

I had to work 14 hours on Valentines Day. The day before around 4 pm a huge storm blew in. When I left for work on Thursday we had a foot of new snow. I talked to the kids after school and told them they could shovel the driveway. They thought that was funner than being stuck in the house so they started.

When Richard got home he got his work truck stuck where he normally parks it and had to do some digging to get out. He finished the driveway and did a path from the carport to the door as well as the sidewalk to the road. Now I need to tell you that Richard has not shoveled all season. The kids, myself or the old man across thestreet do it. The guy across the street got a nice John Deer riding lawn mower with a plow and he goes to town.

Richard finished and called me at work the wish me a Happy "Freakin" Valentines. Who says that you have to buy something to give on Valentines? I was so happy to not have to wear my snow boots home from work!!!

Giving the Dog alot of attention

Last Fall the kids happen to catch the neighbor dog "stuck" to our dog. Well they went to the library at school and check out books on dogs. They marked it on the calender and counted down. Well that time has come and gone. No puppies. Shadow has never been given so much attention. They have been checking on her almost hourly. Last week before the BIG storm they went out to play with Shadow. I don't know how they did it but Kenzie climbed into the igloo dog house and called Shadow. KayLee tried to get a picture but at the time both Kenzie and Shadow were trying to make a quick get-a-way. For a better look, click on the picture to enlarge it. It makes me giggle!!
